Yes, we fell off the YouTube treadmill.
I made the mistake of trying to do too much, and when other things were more of a priority our YouTube channel took a back seat.
So why on earth would I then start something new?
Well, as a mum of teenage girls, obviously it was inevitable that they would start to take more of an interest in make up and skincare. I’d been in denial for a while about it but when we were given a catalogue from The Body Shop at Home I nearly fainted at the lists of things they wanted. It was unlikely our Youtube adventure was going to pay for it all (unless they could wait a couple of years) and my usual business sales had been hit by lockdown (events being cancelled).
So, I took the crazy leap and signed up as an Independent Consultant. Luckily (with the promise of money) youngest teen has been eager to help, so it hasn’t taken up too much of my time, and I’ve been astounded by how many orders we’ve had already! I know it’s only this busy because it’s peak Christmas shopping season, but we’re happy with how it’s going. It’s also, strangely, encouraged me to get back into filming consistently. Just need to get my first Uni assignment done.
Do you keep starting new things even when you’re already rushed off your feet? Please let me know in the comments, I can’t be the only one.
